Hi! I’m Benny, and my fosters and everyone that meets me think that I’m the bestest boy ever! I’m two years old and I came to Arthur Animal Rescue after I found myself in a pretty bad fight. My foster family told me that I need to learn how to properly greet other kitties and that I shouldn’t jump on them from behind, because not every kitty wants to play with me. I think that’s what got me into this mess. It’s been a long process for me to recover and, although I do get the occasional sneezies still, the Doctor says I’m doing great and I’m ready to meet my forever family. 

Right now I’m living in a zoo with my foster family. They have a big dog that I LOVE. I also live with 3 other cats who are teaching me proper manners and kitty etiquette, because I really like to play but they don’t really want to play with me. 

At my foster home they don’t have any kids yet, but they do have lots of kids that come visit me and it makes me so excited because they will play with me for hours and I have so much energy and I love to play! 

During the day I like to hang out by with window and watch the birds and squirrels. I’m also really fast and I like to see how quickly I can get from one side of the room to the other, and when I’m done that I enjoy conversations with my foster family. 

Recently the ladies at the Rescue have started to call me Grandpa Benny because my foster family brought in some bottle-fed kittens that I was teaching to play, and I loved to give them their baths! I really am just a gentle giant.

I’m really hoping I can find my forever home soon. I would love a home that has a dog I could play with or some children! I do okay with other kitties but I am still learning my manners, so they may not like me at first until I figure out how to cat. I don’t think an older kitty would like me as I tend to be playful and rambunctious, and would want to be best friends and that might upset them. would also be okay living on my own and being the most specialist boy also because I LOVE snuggles and attention!

Meet Spring - She is incredibly good looking with the prettiest green eyes and chubbiest little cat feet you’ve ever seen. Spring is an excellent biscuit maker and is very dedicated to her craft. So much so that immediately after her spay surgery she went right back to work making biscuits. She loves to purr and will do so the minute she is near you. She is especially good at purring while making biscuits. Spring is fairly independent and will come to you when she is feeling tender. Usually this is first thing in the morning right after breakfast and then again in the evening right before bed.

When she’s feeling tender she loves to fall asleep on your lap, purring while you stroke her incredibly soft fur. Spring gets along well with all of her foster sister and brothers both dogs and cats. She doesn’t instigate play with them but will certainly participate when asked. She is neither too dominant or too submissive and fits perfectly within a pack. She is a bit timid at first but once she gets to know the household she is sweet and charming. Also worth noting that Spring is very well behaved in the home – she always uses her litter box and has never damaged anything. Recently Spring has become curious about the front door and everything beyond. I believe that if she ever got out it would take her a good

long while to come back so caution should be taken when entering and exiting the home.

Hazelpaw is an adorable brown tabby kitten who is outgoing, playful, and funny! She seeks out affection from her furry friends rather than people but she is coming around slowly! She cuddles up with her sister or the dogs in her foster home at night. She enjoys hiding under the couch or a chair so she can reach out and playfully grab your feet as you walk by. She will also follow you around the house if you have a toy or if you're carrying something that interests her. She's a typical silly kitten with lots of energy!

Hazelpaw would do well in either a busy or quiet household. She would do well in a home with children of all ages. She is also currently living with dogs in the home so she could live happily with one!

Honeypaw is an adorable brown tabby kitten who is a little shy at first but once she is comfortable, she is a playful girl. She loves to jump up to catch a dangling cat wand or chase toys all over the place. She seeks out humans to play with her more than her furry friends. She's a true lap cat and will curl up with you as soon as you sit down and she will rub her face against yours. She will even give you little kisses!

Honeypaw would do well in either a busy or quiet household. She would do well in a home with children of all ages. She is also currently living with dogs in the home so she could live happily with one!

Lynx is such a handsome boy! He's extremely affectionate, a definite lap cat. He did take a little time to warm up in his foster home but once he's comfortable he will want to sleep on you every night. He's young and playful and he likes to chase around springs and toy mice. He also enjoys when you dangle the cat wand for him to swat at. A cat tree in his new home is a must as he likes to climb it and it will keep him active. He likes having his bum scratched and he will flop down in your lap while doing so. 

Lynx would do best in a home with a younger cat who is as playful as he is! He wouldn't do well with dogs in the home or young children.

Neeka is a gorgeous grey tabby with lots of love to give! She has an adorable squeaky meow and she can be quite vocal when she wants attention or when she's ready for dinner! She can easily be won over by offering her a little treat! Despite her age, she's still playful and enjoys when you dangle a cat wand for her to swat at. She also likes playing with little toy mice. When it's time for a nap, you'll find her curled up in your bed, on your couch, or in the cat bed.

Neeka would do best in a quiet home without young children, dogs, or cats. She would really love to live out her golden years as an only cat. She will make an excellent companion for empty nesters or someone who works from home.

Sweet Sydney came to Arthur Animal Rescue in June of 2023 with 5 sick kittens in tow. She was a young mama who was also born outside and was ready for a nice life indoors. After proper medication, weaning her kittens, and seeing them all go into their forever homes, Sydney patiently waited for her family to find her. 

Sydney was previously listed for adoption for nearly 8 months, and only one family came to meet her. It’s often difficult for adult cats to find a home, but Sydney has the added challenge as she is also FIV+. This means she has a slightly weakened immune system, though she’s been asymptomatic since healing from her URI nearly a year ago. Sydney has lived in her foster home with dozens of other cats and kittens and has done amazing. We have no worries of Sydney adjusting to a home with other feline companions who do not have FIV. 

Sydney is the sweetest and most lovable girl and she is an AMAZING leader with younger cats. Sydney loves to watch over them and ensure they are playing safe, and is always willing to snuggle them close for a nap. She currently lives with a large dog and loves to watch her play and doesn’t get bothered when she barks a little. Sydney would do well in a home with older children who respect her boundaries and are gentle with her.  

Everything was going great for Sydney and she was thriving in her foster home, then in March of 2024, it was discovered that Sydney had Squamous Cell Carcinoma (cancer) that required her ear to be amputated. Our fantastic vet team took great care of her and she’s now been cleared to be relisted for adoption. 

Don’t let Sydney's slightly rough exterior fool you; she is still a beauty queen to us! She is like a shadow and will follow you anywhere you go. Her nickname is Floppy Cat because she will flop down in front of you for pats and attention. Like her nickname, her favourite toy is a floppy fish - and she will play with it for ages. Sydney also likes to "help" her foster mom with laundry!

Luna is a very sweet young tabby cat who curls into the most perfect loaf that you will ever see! She tolerates being picked up but doesn't like to be held. She is the type of cat who likes attention but prefers to come to you to let you know that she wants love. She likes to attack your feet when she's under the couch or she will jump on top of you when you're covered in a blanket to try to get your toes.

Luna is a playful girl who would do well in a home with another cat or kitten. She has not had any exposure to children or dogs but given her personality, we expect she could live happily with them given the proper introduction.

Quinn is a gorgeous long haired brown tabby who is a true lap cat! She is snuggly and affectionate, her favourite place to cuddle is on your chest right up close to your face. She loves to have her head and chin scratched. She has a unique meow and can be very vocal at times when she wants attention.

Despite her being approximately 8 years old, she is still very playful and enjoys batting around crinkle balls and toy mice. She loves to sleep in cat beds but she will also make a pile of clothes a bed if she sees the opportunity! She will sleep with you in bed every night.

Quinn would need to be adopted into a home as an only pet. She would not do well in a home with young children as she does not like to be picked up or held. Quinn would thrive in a home with someone who works from home or is retired with lots of time and love to give!

Please note : Quinn came to us with her front paws declawed which causes her to be extra sensitive about her feet. A nice soft litter helps her, and she doesn't like her paws being touched.

Penny and Sheldon are a pair of shy siblings who have been waiting a while for their perfect family.

Penny is a silly girl who rarely walks – instead she prances everywhere with the cutest bounce (at least when she isn’t zooming at top speed!). She loves playing with Sheldon and her toys, and she has a favourite blanket that she sometimes carries around the house in her mouth. She also loves looking out the window at the birds. She has the squeakiest little meow that she will use to let you know she wants attention or snacks! She doesn’t like to be picked up, but she will get on the bed between her fosters to ask for snuggles before curling up to sleep.

Sheldon is a floofy boy who also loves to play and frequently carries his foam ball around while singing a song about it. He will even bring it to you for a game of fetch! He has a big, beautiful meow that he busts out to let you know he’s hungry or wants a snuggle. He won’t join his fosters in bed, but he does like to be picked up for short snuggles, and he enjoys being brushed as long as you stop when he lets you know he is finished.

These two would do well in a quiet household with no small children; they probably wouldn’t do well in an apartment building with noisy upstairs neighbours. They love other cats though!

If they’re so adorable, why have they been waiting so long? You see, they are terrified of strangers, so they don’t make a good first impression. They will hunch up in the corner when you come to meet them – no exceptions. But you know what they say about strangers – they are just friends we haven’t met yet! Their fosters want people to know that while they will never love a party, they will be fine as long as they have a quiet room to retreat to when you entertain.

They will also get to know your family and close friends who come around a lot, and will happily hang around when those people visit. When you give them the space and patience they need to trust you, that’s when their sweet and goofy dispositions begin to shine!

Hi there! My name is Marmite the Super Kitty! I am the apple of my foster mom’s eye. Sure, she has two dogs that I don’t like, they are boys but lets face it with a name like Marmite the Super Kitty it isn’t hard to tell who she thinks is the bees knees. I also heard one of her friends say what a “stud muffin “when she met me. Enough about my obvious good looks, let me tell you all about my charm.

It took me a while to feel comfortable in my new digs, after living a life roaming the countryside around Drayton, but a guy can get used this pampered lifestyle. Food served to me in a dish twice a day, what luxury. I love to be petted, especially the very top of my head and ears, I coo like a dove, rather than purr like other kitties. I also have the most beautiful shiny coat. I love to watch my foster mom clean up my room, especially my litter hehehe.  I am very interested in everything that goes on and enjoy my supervisory position. I really enjoy looking out the window and sometimes I even find a cat treat on the windowsill.  I can still get startled by unexpected noises like those two dogs I mentioned before, suddenly noticing the mailman. Those two think they can attack him through a window…dogs what can I say.

I need to be the only cat in my new domain. I have feline FIV which doesn’t spread to other animals or humans but isn’t nice for other cats. Honestly, I am not an animal lover, I couldn’t even get along well with my brother and that was when we were outside. I have so much love to give that I really think I can provide you with all the animal love you can handle.

 A note from foster mom:

"Marmite might take a bit to get adjusted to his new environment. He hid out under the bed for a few weeks when he first arrived. I was losing hope but the rewards for your patience will be more love than you thought possible. He is very curious and loves supervising all aspects of his care. He deserves to live in a dog free home with a cat tree near a big window. He will not let you pick him up, but will happily follow you. It is my opinion that he would do better in a home where there aren’t young children. We are still working on playing with toys, he would rather rub his head on your hand than play with a laser toy and gives me a look when I try to play with his pet mouse that says “really mom, get a grip, I have had the real thing!”"

Harold is a very sweet 4 year old tuxedo cat, who is quite shy at first and may hide until he gets to know you. Keeping him in a smaller quiet space, such as a spare room or bathroom, where he can adjust to his new environment will be important for Harold in his new home. Once he is comfortable, he is incredibly vocal and lets you know when he wants to be loved. If you talk to him, he will often “talk” back to you. Harold is not a very playful boy, but he is so affectionate. He enjoys being brushed, and loves to rub against you to get petted. His favourite thing is scratches around his ears, and will roll around happily while you pet him. 

Harold is okay being picked up, however he doesn’t enjoy being held for long periods of time. With enough time in his new home, he could likely become a lap-kitty and a perfect companion for watching tv or reading a book. 

Harold’s ideal home would be somewhere he is the only pet and can get all of the attention. There are other cats and dogs in his foster home, however he hasn’t had much exposure to them yet, as he is quite nervous. He is very interested in meeting the other animals in his foster home, but is unsure of them still. Currently he bushes out his tail when greeted with a dog, and will hiss at other cats. His foster family does believe that he could likely acclimate to a home with another cat, or calm, cat-savvy dog with enough time. Due to Harold’s timid nature, he is not well suited to a home with young children. He would likely do okay in a home with older children that are respectful of his space. Harold needs a home that can accommodate his nervous nature, and work on continuing to build his confidence over time.

Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop is a big and handsome tabby cat with some white patches of fur. He is shy and cautious at first so he will need some time to warm up to his new surroundings. He's very playful and you'll hear him make a cute little chirping sound when he's busy playing with his favourite toys which includes dangly toys. His favourite place to hang out is in his cat tree so he would definitely need one at his forever home!

Snoop is a good eater and loves to be given cat treats. Maybe he can even learn to do tricks in exchange for treats!

Snoop will need a quiet environment in his new home in order to thrive. He would not do well in a home with young children or dogs. He will also need to start out in a small space and be given time and patience to get comfortable with his new owners.

Snoop was surrendered with his sister, Martha Stewart, and would love to be adopted with her, but this is not a requirement and he can be adopted on his own. He is looking forward to finding his furever home!!
