Hello, my name is Olive.

I’m a friendly girl who enjoys being with people. I absolutely love pets and when I need some attention, I’ll “boop” your hand with my head to let you know. Head scritches really get me purring, and once I learn to trust you, I’ll flop over for some belly rubs too.

I grew up as an outside kitty, and did my best to stay safe and fed. You’ll notice that my right ear is a little different; when I was smaller, it was injured and it didn’t pop back the same. It’s totally ok though and it doesn’t cause me any issues. When I was rescued, I was very small and thin as it was tough to find good food. I love being inside now and have lots of food to eat in my foster home – chicken is by far my favorite flavour.

After facing the wilds of the outside world, a quieter home is where I long to be. Other animals make me a little nervous, especially if they get too close. I think I’d be ok in time with an animal companion as long as I can have space to get to know and trust them. I would also be okay in a home with older children.

My favorite toy is anything with feathers. And, while I can play on my own, I like it best when I have a human to play with. I’m a good traveller; I've had a couple of road trips and have done well in the car. My foster mom says that I am a bit like a dog – I come when I'm called, and I am a little protective. I like to sleep beside my people at night and follow them around to make sure they are safe.
